Congressman Rodrigo Maia will be president of the house for two years, during 2019 and 2020.
Congressman Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ) was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives. He received 334 votes in the first round.
It is the third time that the deputy chair house.
He replaced Eduardo Cunha after the resignation of the former congressman in 2016, was elected president in the same year and now was elected for another two years as president of the Chamber.
